10:41		ogwata	みなさん既にご存知と思いますが、東京都及び近県から外出自粛要請が出されました。この状況を踏まえ、4/4イベントはZoom＋YouTubeライブ配信によるオンラインのみによる開催とし、登壇者の皆さんは自室から発表するよう変更しようと思います。 具体的には、皆さんにはあらかじめZoomの無料アカウントを取得していただきます。その上で、私からミーティングIDを送っておきますので、当日はこれを使ってZoomの会議室にログインしていただきます。他方、一般参加者には事前にYouTubeライブのURLを告知し、当日アクセスしていただくという形になります。 この判断についてご説明します。数日前までは、「JAGATに集合できなくなれば中止」と考えていました。都の外出自粛要請は、これが現実になった形です。しかし、そうなった時に私が思ったのは「じつはVivliostyleこそ、現在のような状況に必要なのでは？」ということでした。 これから数ヵ月、もしかしたら1年以上、世界中の大半の人が大半の時間をWeb上で過ごすことになるでしょう。しかし、現在のWebはそれほど使いやすいでしょうか？ とくに問題は日本です。現在の状況で官公庁や医学会は、正確な情報を分かりやすく発信する責務があります。しかし実際には彼らのWebページは文字だらけで、書類というとPDFのダウンロードです。これではスマホで読みづらく、検索でもヒットしません。9年前の東日本大震災から、日本のWebは何を学んだのでしょう。 Vivliostyleの役目はWebの長文を読みやすくすることです。現在の悲惨とも言える日本のWebを読みやすく変えるために、Vivliostyleが果たすべき役割があるのではないでしょうか。 そう考えて、@shinyu さんと話し合った上で、冒頭のようにオンラインに変更して開催という判断になりました。とはいえ、当日発表するのはこのチャンネルのメンバーの皆さんです。ぜひ、皆さんの意見を伺いたいと思います。 なお、先日の投稿ではZoomの料金について、1ヵ月20万円云々と書きましたが、これは間違いです。実際にはProアカウントは月額2,000円です。ウェビナー機能はこれにプラス1ヵ月5,400円で利用可能です。ただし、今回は無料で集客の見込めるYouTubeライブで配信しようと思います。
