SwayNC

If you only want to use the notification part of SwayNC, edit ~/.config/swaync/config.json.
In the widgets section, disable unwanted features by commenting them out with /* widget */ (e.g., /*"buttons-grid",*/) or by deleting the line.
Refresh with SUPER + ALT + R.

SwayNC no backlight

You might not have intel_backlight installed. Check this issue for more information.
