Summary

  • Add discovery-based GitHub Actions coverage for all 12 first-party ESP-IDF examples.
  • Validate each example with ESP-IDF v5.5.4 and v6.0.2 (24 build jobs plus discovery).
  • Align example manifests and configuration with the two CI lanes, including hosted Wi-Fi, display, audio, video, USB, and ESP-Brookesia examples.
  • Modernize the English product README and add a complete Chinese README.
  • Add the official product image, product and documentation links, example index, hardware overview, schematic link, and a clear factory-firmware boundary.
  • Set the repository About website to the official Waveshare product page.

Repository shape

  • ESP-IDF-only product repository; no Arduino surface is present.
  • ESP32-P4 host with ESP32-C6 hosted wireless support.
  • Local reusable components, ESP-Brookesia examples, hardware references, and a checked-in factory recovery image.

Validation

  • No local firmware compilation was performed.
  • Static preflight verified the repository inventory, all relative README targets, the product image, UTF-8 formatting, and a clean staged diff.
  • GitHub Actions is the build source of truth: run 30510231741 passed all 25 jobs for commit b99a8ae.
  • The workflow performs compile validation only and does not upload flashable artifacts.
