Summary plot

The summary plot allows users to plot dictionary terms in different ways, depending on the nature of the terms (categorical, numerical). It displays bar chart, violin, box plot and scatter plots, depending on the data analyzed.

How this Plot Works

The users navigate through the different plots by clicking on the tabs in the plot header. By default, the bar chart is displayed first. Adding an overlay term generates more plot tabs. The violin and box plot tabs are added if the term analyzed, or the overlay term, are numeric. The scatter plot tab is added when the term and the overlay term, both are numeric.

How to Launch

A 'Summary' button will appear in the 'Charts' tab of the portal UI. Choose a term from the pop-up menu to launch the plot.
