cmux Browser — Apple capability review (macOS arm64)

Choose a tag to compare

@lawrencecchen lawrencecchen released this 23 Jul 07:42
7652d3b

Apple entitlement-review preview

This isolated prerelease is for Apple capability review. It is not a stable, release-candidate, nightly, or updater-channel cmux release.

Artifact

  • Platform: macOS on Apple silicon (arm64)
  • Bundle ID: com.cmux.app
  • Asset: cmux-browser-apple-passkey-review-macos-arm64.zip
  • SHA-256: a6719ce7919fb010d5f97d93c80cb041b975481960e814bffdd0545b8745340e
  • Signing: ad-hoc review build; not notarized and not intended for production use

Review scope

The packaged app declares http and https URL handling for macOS Launch Services/default-browser selection, plus the private cmux direct-launch scheme. The compiled browser framework contains the stable WebAuthn keychain identities:

  • 7WLXT3NR37.com.cmux.app.webauthn
  • 7WLXT3NR37.com.cmux.app.webauthn-uvk

Native iCloud passkey access is intentionally unavailable in this artifact until Apple approves the managed Web Browser Public Key Credential Requests capability and a Developer ID provisioning profile containing the restricted entitlement can be regenerated. After approval, production/channel builds will be signed with the approved entitlement.

macOS default-browser status does not use a separate Apple entitlement request. The user selects cmux in System Settings after Launch Services registers the app.
