GitOps-ArgoCD Reference Implementation

This Argo CD reference implementation is currently under active development. We are working to achieve parity with the FluxCD reference implementation. The local bootstrap is functional with core infrastructure services, and we are continuously expanding the available components. Contributions and feedback are welcome!

Notes

• Helm vs Kustomize: In this Argo CD setup, Helm charts (e.g., ingress-nginx, kyverno-*) are deployed as Argo CD Applications via ApplicationSets. This is still GitOps (desired state in Git; Argo renders Helm and reconciles). Where upstream provides plain YAML/CRDs (e.g., gateway-api), we use Kustomize overlays. The infrastructure/** layout mirrors the Flux structure for parity.
