Decision-trees-for-European|Scandinavian-Cuisine-prediction.

This is a Data Science project on cousera. https://www.coursera.org/learn/data-science-methodology/

In the original project, test were made for indian, and Asian cuisines.

I have decided to test for all european cuisines in the dataset. My aim is to see how well the classifier works for european cuisines. I'm thinking that european cuisines are very similar. This test will help me find out. I also want to find out how well the classifier distinquishes between european cuisines and scandinavia cuisines.

The data was compiled by a researcher named Yong-Yeol Ahn, who scraped tens of thousands of food recipes (cuisines and ingredients) from three different websites, namely:

www.allrecipes.com

www.epicurious.com

www.menupan.com

For more information on Yong-Yeol Ahn and his research, you can read his paper on Flavor Network and the Principles of Food Pairing.
