Scid contributor Uwe has made some nice enhancements to Scid at his fork at https://codeberg.org/scid/scid/. I've ported some of them to scidCommunity like improving the board display by making board options available through a compact set of icons at the bottom, moving the material display to the top and bottom player labels, adding game end symbols etc. He also has a nice set of custom themes and icons that are now bundled in scidCommunity (under "Options/Themes").

All credit goes to him and you should check out his repos at codeberg.

I will look to incorporate more of his improvements over time.

The pictures of the Toolbar are not showing, Just the word (image). I guess it is because the toolbar has not space enough in the vertical (not hide enough) to show the pictures.

@daSilva65 : It turns out that Windows can't draw the icons in the main toolbar, so v5.1.3.47 reverts to adding the tool buttons at the top of the main Board display for Windows only. TBH, it's probably just as convenient there as being in the main menu. Thanks again for your Windows testing!

Tourney played nicely. Congrats. Stockfish 17 at full force won two miniature games against Ufim 8.02 set for 700 Elo, as it should.

The toolbar icons are welcome back on their traditional place above the chess board.
