Overriding variables is way harder than I thought. Idk how to solve this…

I'm trying out beta 1 on a simple website and it's actually way harder in practice (so far impossible) to override variables that Saturn V is dependent on. As soon as it's forwarded or used inside Saturn v those variables can't be overridden again. I'm not sure how to circumvent this limitation yet.
