Proton mail setup guide

Installing the app

Once you have created your Proton account, you can download the Proton Mail app from within your Proton account
Open the downloaded file and follow the installation instructions

Setup

Open the app, this can be found via Alfred by searching for mail
Login with your Proton account details

NOTE The below links take you to the Proton web interface to set these things up, however, they can also be set within the Mail application.

Identity and Addresses

To set your

Display name and signature
addresses and aliases

Forward and auto reply

To set your

Rules to Forward emails
Auto-replies for out of office etc

Importing contacts

You can import contacts from the intranet by following these instructions.

Go to https://intranet.studio24.net/
Go to My Profile
Select "Download vcard contacts file"
Go to Proton Mail > Contacts
Import Contacts > from .csv or vCard
Import CSV file you just downloaded
Match CSV field "Name" to vCard field "Display name"

If you end up with any duplicates you can merge these in Proton Mail, or delete the duplicates.
