Yaml anchors

is it possible to use yaml anchors https://support.atlassian.com/bitbucket-cloud/docs/yaml-anchors/ in the kas yaml config files?

Nope, but we have the concept of includes (https://kas.readthedocs.io/en/latest/userguide/project-configuration.html#including-in-tree-configuration-files, https://kas.readthedocs.io/en/latest/userguide/project-configuration.html#including-configuration-files-from-other-repos).

Those include would merge dictionaries, but i would also like to merge the Lists in those dictionaries.

For example, have different config files with target: attributes, and then merge to together like so:

groupA.yaml

target:
  - recipe_a1
  - recipe_a2
  - recipe_a3

groupB.yaml

target:
  - recipe_b1
  - recipe_b2

and the final result would be

target:
  - recipe_a1
  - recipe_a2
  - recipe_a3
  - recipe_b1
  - recipe_b2

Ok, this is about list extensions. That is indeed not possible yet.

Someone would have to do the research first if our yaml libs would support that, and we only need to flip some option (just dreaming...), or what would be otherwise needed to add such a feature.
