Security Policy

Reporting a vulnerability

If you find a security issue in SentinelDeck itself, please report it privately rather than opening a public issue. Use GitHub's Report a vulnerability button under the Security tab, or open a draft security advisory.

Please include:

  • A description of the issue and its impact
  • Steps to reproduce
  • The version or commit you tested

We aim to acknowledge reports within a few days and will keep you updated on a fix and disclosure timeline.

Scope and intended use

SentinelDeck is a passive scanner. It is designed to inspect only the public metadata of a domain you own or are authorised to assess. Do not use it against systems you do not have permission to test. The maintainers are not responsible for misuse.
