I'm trying to understand and respond to each of your questions, let me know if I missed anything.
The Roll NPCs button rolls a D20 for all non-player tokens which don't already have initiatives. So if you click it once it doesn't become available to use again unless another NPC is added to the initiative or the initiative is cleared for an existing token. This is designed so that new creatures can be added to the initiative during the middle of a fight and the host can roll their initiatives all at once without overwriting the initiatives of NPCs already there.
Once you start initiative, clicking "Next" should move the current initiative to the next available token from top to bottom. Then a new round button appears to begin a new round. If this isn't behaving as expected or something seems broken, please let me know.
This is intentional - initiative and hit points are not preserved across different initiatives since, in my own experience, monsters are generally dead when initiative ends and players are responsible for tracking their own character's hit points. I would love to hear about your own experience and use-cases for initiative for your own games - they might inform changes to Ogres - if you care to share. Let me know if I misunderstood anything here. Thanks! |

What does it do? I set up a user and a zombie, gave them both values, clicked ROLL NPCs, zombie initiative reduced by , ROLL NPCs greyed out and never became clickable again. Click NEXT and Initiative round increases, nothing else happens. What am I missing?
Also, if you click LEAVE, initiative and HP are cleared. I might as well use pen and paper, what's the benefit?
