I did not realize that pacman would be desirable for this, because, I was thinking: "isn't package manager primarily associated with getting updates from pkg upgrade, and updates aren't supported yet here?"

however, it is interesting that you want this and I planned to try to add pacman support here some day anyway. I will try it eventually.

could you explain what primary feature benefit you want to get from having a pacman version of termux-generator, so I can make sure to test that feature to make sure it will work?

unfortunately pacman requires a little bit more code changes than just that one area, but it's not impossible or anything.

I have succeeded in creating a termux-app with the default using Pacman Bootstrap. You can see on my fork. To be honest, no special benefit to use pacman as default package manager. It very convenient if we can have two or more this kind of termux with different package name.

I see your change here, that's interesting, however, it does not show where the termux-pacman bootstrap comes from,

termux/termux-app@master...ndrancs:termux-app:stage

in order to be easy to integrate into termux-generator, the method would need to include some changes to termux-packages code as well in addition to termux-app, such as the pacman bootstrap builder PR integrated into it:

• build-bootstraps.sh: adding a way to generate bootstrap based on pacman termux/termux-packages#14692

if you are really interested in having a termux-pacman mode in termux-generator, would you like to make a PR to add this? I could help with it if necessary.
