Using context instead of prop drilling

Is it possible to do this at all? When I try to send an email I get the error:

TypeError: createContext only works in Client Components. Add the "use client" directive at the top of the file to use it.

And if I try to add "use client", I get another error. I'm using turborepo and next 16.

Note: it works in the preview server, it just fails when I call the render function in the API route.
