Question: tool removal from the registry

I was wondering how the runtime removal of tools will take place

On top of my head I can imagine calls to unregistered tools to execute a noop tool and instruct the llm to never use it again.

But what would happens if it’s register again?

Maybe is out of scope?

What do you mean here exactly? The tools are returned by the search_tools and invoked by the invoke_tool (we did this paradigm specifically to avoid problems with stale tools hanging in the context), and as long as the tool is in the whole catalog, invoke_tool will work just fine.

If the question instead is: "what if at some point in time I call tool A, then I change the registered tools (e.g. the service restarts with a different catalog) removing tool A, can the model call tool A again?" -> it can happen, and the invoke will simply fail saying the tool does not exist and that search_tools must be invoked first to find the tool the agent needs at that time.

I'll check better how invoke_tool works and see if my doubt even makes sense
