[SUGGESTION] Block counter when spreading a wire

Hello!
It could be, in my opinion, very useful a tool or an option that shows how much block it's the wire length before to try to attach a connector.

1. For example i change to 256 the connector length attachment.
2. I see the blocks in F3 but it counts not perfectly, i try to attach...but it drops. So i've to go back 256 blocks, then spread out the wire again
3. This process until it attaches

So a toll/option to show the current length could be very useful
