Provide a way to use this library as pure perl (remove Clone requirement)

In this MR Clone 0.46 was added as a requirement for this repo. This means that this repo can not be used as pure perl. This is a problem for me because I'm trying to fatpack the repo into my utility.

One possible solution is to use Clone::Choose instead of Clone.
