Forcing specific endpoints to error?

Hello, firstly thanks for your great work on this lib!

I've started using it for in-process integration tests of a Go app that interacts with S3.

Is there any way to force a specific call to fail, in order to test the error handling in my application?

If not, is that something you think would be a reasonable addition?

You might be able to get most of what you need with a custom backend, see the Backend interface. There are some other optional interfaces you can implement on your backend too:

You could wrap an existing backend and delegate to it, failing only on the operations you want it to fail on, or implement a full mock one yourself.

This was my use case when I first came across gofakes3, driving tests, and I was able to get what I needed this way.

Aha, nice - I ended up doing something similar but injecting myself into the HTTP handler, but doing it via the backend looks like it'd be slightly tidier as I could use the error constructors directly 👍

Including an example of this in the docs might be useful

Great question! And the more I thought about it, the more I think we should have an example for this.
Will think about whether to add it as pure example in the docs or maybe even a small implementation in the main branch.
