TypeScript MCP Support

So I can see my tools in here but when i try to run tools MCP will not work like it would normally work in Cursor / Claude.

I just wanted to know if i am doing something wrong? since there is no documentation available its really difficult for me to run MCP with oterm, pls help.

Hey there,
This is a lot simpler ;)
The first problem I see is that you haven't selected any tools. This is because deepseek your selected model does not support tool integration. You should choose a model that supports tools, for example llama3.2. Once you do you will be able to select which of the tools you make available to the LLM. I also notice that you write a json request. You don't need to to do that. The model should figure out which tool it needs to call if any, and what parameters.

Great, Thanks for quick response. Yes I am now able to make it work, great tool!! The other question I have,
In claude I'd usually type "Describe Account object", claude will then go ahead and run the tool and associated api calls to do the job, with ollama I am now running Deepseek R1.5b,

Function calling with direct functions did the job

The moment I ask it to simply "Run the checkReleaseUpdates function" it fails. I do not get the right results.

Yeah it really varies. You should try experimenting with various models and see what works with your tools best. The models you run on Ollama are much smaller than what you get with Claude, so sometimes they fail. Using a limited amount of tools helps in my experience.
