Grav v2.0.0-rc.8 Odd behaviour in Admin-2 with custom Flex Objects

After migration, a custom Flex Object collection appears twice in the Admin lefthand navigation and shows as disabled in the Flex Objects plugin settings (enabled in the source site):

After enabling the custom collection, nothing appears to change:

However, after disabling the collection, only 1 item appears in the navigation:

The output of the collection in the website is unaffected, unlike v:1.7 where disabling the collection prevents its display.

Thanks for the detailed report and screenshots.

Two of the three things you're seeing are actually one bug, and the third is expected — let me split them:

1. Duplicate in the nav. The admin-2 sidebar lists one entry per registered Flex directory, keyed by type. A duplicate means the same collection is being registered twice under two different type keys — almost always a migration artifact where the collection ends up both in the Flex Objects plugin's directories list and registered by your theme/plugin (or listed twice in directories). The "enable does nothing / disable drops it to one" behaviour fits this exactly: only one of the two registrations is controlled by the enable toggle, so disabling removes that one and leaves the other.

2. Frontend still renders when disabled. That's expected in 2.0 and differs from 1.7 on purpose — the enable flag governs admin management/registration, it doesn't stop a theme that queries the collection directly.

To pin down the duplicate, could you share:

• Your user/config/plugins/flex-objects.yaml — specifically the full directories: list.
• The custom collection's blueprint file and where it lives (path under user/blueprints/flex-objects/, a theme, or a plugin).
• Your Flex Objects and API plugin versions (the report has Grav core rc.8 but not these — they're what actually drive the sidebar).
• Whether bin/grav clear followed by a hard browser reload collapses it back to a single entry.

That'll tell us whether it's stale migrated config or a registration-order issue we need to fix in the plugin.

I used Delete All in the Admin-2 interface and deleted the contents of the cache folder between steps.
