Hi. If someone has written custom SurfaceView that perform better than GLSurfaceView (has less input lag and FPS Bypass) can it be added to official launcher or be discussed? If can't then why?

i'd be for it (and was considering writing one myself), however it'd have to satisfy my licensing and maintainability concerns. namely, i wouldn't accept someone ai generating a custom surfaceview bc neither of those concerns would be comfortably satisfied. also i'd highly recommend having benchmarks that show that input delay is reduced

OK. Thank you. I will continue working on my SurfaceView. It works but needs refactoring and features improvement.

should i implement unused GLSurfaceView functionality like config classes for EGLContext and EGLSurface?
