Help with separating homepage modules

Sorry for my English. I'm trying to replace the 2009 ui with the one from 2012 i replaced all static sites footer and header but i have problem with homepage specifically homepage modules. I'm not so good in JavaScript and I looking for a way to separate the modules from this

the homepage is little bit corrupted and have elements left from internet archive. I got the featured section almost working. This is how it looks like now

back/yt2009homepage.js should be of your interest, especially this snippet that actually sets the html itself (L253)

above that, you'll see code that populates modulesHTML based on picked homepage modules. nothing's stopping you from separating those in homepage html and changing the module-specific codes to modify code directly instead of moduleHTML.
