Here is another InkyPi plugin, this one gives you a quick view of your favorite NHL team’s next matchup or most recent game in a single schedule-style screen.

Install

You can install it using the InkyPi plugin installer:

Features

• Shows the selected NHL team’s next scheduled game
• Falls back to the most recent game when there is no upcoming matchup
• Displays matchup day and local start time
• Shows venue name (or a simple arena label when not available)
• Shows TV networks if broadcast data is available
• Displays both home and away teams with abbreviations
• Uses logo assets when available, with a clean text fallback mark
• Shows season snapshot stats: wins, losses, OT losses, goals for, goals against
• Includes power play and penalty kill percentages for both teams
• Layout is tuned for “what’s the next game and how do these teams look?” at a glance

Details

The plugin queries the NHL public web API to pull schedule data for the selected team, then chooses either the upcoming game or, if none is available, the team’s most recent completed game.

It is focused on quick matchup visibility and a lightweight stats snapshot rather than deep analytics, standings tables, or live in‑game updates.

Settings

The settings page lets you configure:

• NHL team (by selecting any current NHL club from a dropdown)
• Optional custom title (otherwise the plugin uses an automatic matchup title)

Notes

• Uses the NHL public web API as the data source
• Designed to keep showing something useful even during the offseason or after a team is eliminated, by falling back to the last game
• Intended as a “glanceable schedule card” rather than a full NHL tracker
