Description

@Commons-Lab-1

Goal

Print all frame components in PETG and verify fit around a real sapling.

Steps

  1. Export all STLs from mechanical/frame-3dprint/treeguard-frame.scad
  2. Print: 3 spines, 9 ring segments, 1 enclosure, 3 stakes, 1 solar mount
  3. Assemble with M3 brass inserts + security Torx
  4. Test-fit around a nursery-bought sapling (150-200mm trunk clearance)
  5. Check: trunk clearance, stake stability, enclosure clip, ring alignment

Acceptance

  • Frame stands free without trunk contact
  • Ground stakes hold in real soil
  • Electronics enclosure clips/unclips cleanly
  • Ring segments swap independently
  • Photos taken from front, side, top angles
