Start detection not working

Getting this error when when I try to start detection, and my camera isn't activating.

• OS: Windows 11
• Blender Version 4.4.0
• BlendArMocap Version 1.6.1
• PC hardware: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X 8-Core Processor 3.80 GHz
• 64.0 GB (61.6 GB usable)
• Nvidia 5070ti

Hey, you can try with Blender Version 3.0-3.8? Never tested 4.0, seems like they changed their numpy lib. I'm not working on this anymore so best of luck!

Same issue for blender 3.6

you can try with Blender Version 3.0-3.8?
Never tested 4.0, seems like they changed their numpy lib.

1st Problem: that numpy prob. changed happens on my end too, with Blender 4.4.1 and Blender 3.6

2nd Problem: Mediapipe 0.9.0.1 seems to be no longer available. It didn't work to install on Blender 4.4.1 or 3.6.
I solved this by editing some files to use mediapipe 0.10.5 (oldest available at this time). then I ran into Problem 1.

Did you solve the ImportError ?

I found a solution by try-and-error. The Problem now: I never used Blender and have absolutly no idea how to use it.

Here what I have done: (notes while trying)
The oldest availabe version of mediapipe was 0.10.5 it was release on 15.09.2023
I'm gonna use that as my target date for now.

changed the required version for mediapipe in BlendArMocap

if addon already installed: File :
%appdata%\Blender Foundation\Blender\3.6\scripts\addons\BlendArMocap\src\cgt_mediapipe\cgt_dependencies.py
If addon not installed, change in zip-file
BlendArMocap\src\cgt_mediapipe\cgt_dependencies.py

At about line 318 (for windows) change mediapipe==0.9.0.1 to mediapipe==0.10.5

numpy is the problem -> different version
numpy: 16.09.2023 version release 1.26.0

If already tried to install uninstall first
open cmd as admin run:
"\Blender 3.0.1\3.0\python\bin\python.exe" -m pip uninstall numpy
"\Blender 3.0.1\3.0\python\bin\python.exe" -m pip install numpy==1.26.0 --target "\Blender 3.0.1\3.0\python"

I did the same for Blender 3.6 and Blender 4.4.1

Results:
Blender 3.0.1: some cv2 error. - Fixed by restarting blender. then it worked, BUT the webcam didn't have fps, is it about 2 frames per minute

Blender 4.4.1: some DDL-init error. Did not look further in.

Blender 3.6: Worked. (but low fps: 8-10)

When you do, make sure you don't have a double mediapipe folder like mediapipe.mediapipe, copy everything from that second fole into the main folder because blendAr looks at top level, unless you can configre it to deeper. Should work once it finds all the dependencies.

Put it in your blender/(your version)/ python/lib/site-packages/mediapipe.
