Looking at your A2 version schematics pdf, on sheet 16 that DRVSS (analog output driver ground) is connected to digital rather than analog ground. This doesn't seem to tally with the TI spec sheet or grounding advice. I hope this is helpful.
I've been playing with the same chip for my Beagle Black, as the RevB Audio cape doesn't seem to have made it into wide availability.
