Problem

mcp-wire can prompt for and store credentials. The storage and display paths should be reviewed for safe defaults and accidental disclosure.

Proposed scope

• Review credential file permissions and storage behavior.
• Audit TUI and CLI output for secret leakage.
• Document credential storage expectations.

Acceptance criteria

• Stored credentials use restrictive permissions.
• Secrets are masked in output and logs.
• Tests cover credential display and storage safety where practical.
