feature request: downscale option

i'd like the program to have an option to downscale the video resolution to half size. i've tried so many things with the "-p" option, i'm recording with hevc_vaapi, i tried inserting the option into the default filter, i've tried making it a standalone filter to rescale, for quite some hours and it would keep reading the properties wrong, like i'd put "scale_vaapi=960:540" and it would say "could not assign value 'scale_vaapi' to non-existent property '960'" or something.

I don't know about scale_vaapi but scale works for me.

For example, this command scales the video successfully:
wf-recorder -c libx264 -p preset=superfast -p crf=20 -F scale=1920:1200 -r 30
