Hi! I am running this issue when trying to start a VM with TPM stored as a qcow2 file. I read this forum and seems it is necessary to update pve-qemu-kvm package to 10.1.2-2 version or newer: https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/create-vm-errors.177548/

Is it possible to apply a temporal solution while storing TPM as a qcow2 file? (storing it as a raw file works)

To support this feature, qemu needs to be built with --enable-fuse flag. This repository reuses same configuration args form nixpkgs which does not have it.

I personally prefer this fix to be made in nixpkgs upstream (NixOS/nixpkgs#494804), but this would unlikely meet the criteria for backporting to 25.11.

In my local test adding above configuration flag for qemu could make the error go away, but a new error from swtpm side appears:
