Request for Repair Assistance - Sequre SI012 V1.8 Damaged by Accidental Reverse Polarity

I have a Sequre SI012 V1.8 soldering iron that was accidentally damaged. I reversed the polarity on the DC barrel jack input by mistake. After that, the device now shows a short circuit when I connect it via Type-C.

From inspecting the PCB:
The TVS diode marked "CG" appears burnt.

The iron was working perfectly before this incident. I would greatly appreciate your help with:

If its the TVS/reverse polarity crowbar diode you will want to replace it with a similar one. It's probably rated for reverse voltage just above the max input voltage.

You can remove it and (carefully) see if it operates without it (as if its just a reverse diode its only there for protection).

Otherwise I normally suggest talking to manufacturers or other forums where more repair oriented people are. The only hardware I can provide support for easily is the Pinecil (as I was involved in the design).
