Atlas Sanctum API — Delivery Summary

4. Infrastructure & DevOps

Dockerfile — Production-ready Node 18 Alpine image

npm audit fix — 0 high-severity vulnerabilities (was 3)

Postgres Schema (db/schema.sql)

Local Development

Key Design Decisions

  1. Open Standards First

    • W3C DID Core, VC Data Model, DIDComm v2
    • Makes it easy for others to build atop
  2. Constraint-First Architecture

    • "No valid credential → no value release"
    • Ethical boundaries encoded by design
  3. Privacy by Default

    • Raw sensor feeds NOT exposed
    • Commons API: differential privacy + redaction
    • Audit trail: immutable but redacted
  4. Decentralized Trust

    • No single sensor = truth (require quorum)
    • Multiple signers for high-value actions
    • Trust scores based on historical conformity
  5. Minimal Reference Implementation

    • Clean, modular code
    • Easy to extend and customize
    • Not intended as production deployment (use as blueprint)

What Comes Next (Not In Scope)

These are recommended for production deployment:

  1. Database Migration

    • Move from in-memory stores to Postgres (schema provided)
    • Add connection pooling, migrations framework (Knex, Typeorm)
  2. Cryptography & Proofs

    • Integrate cryptographic libraries (tweetnacl, libsodium, ethers.js)
    • Implement Linked Data Proofs (JWS, BBS+)
    • ZK proof integration (Circom, Noir)
  3. Key Management

    • HashiCorp Vault or AWS KMS integration
    • Key rotation policies
    • Hardware security module (HSM) support
  4. Scalability

    • Message queue (RabbitMQ, Kafka) for measurement ingestion
    • Caching layer (Redis) for frequently accessed DIDs/credentials
    • Rate limiting and API throttling
  5. Observability

    • OpenTelemetry tracing
    • Prometheus metrics
    • ELK or Datadog logging
  6. Smart Contract Integration

    • Adapters for Ethereum, Polygon, Solana
