Public Notes

Planned reproduction recipe for building public PS2SDK as an open-source compatibility lane while keeping ProDG and proprietary Sony material out of the repo.

Environment

  • clean checkout of the public PS2SDK repository at the recorded ps2sdk-master-head commit
  • host compiler and toolchain prerequisites selected from public ps2dev documentation
  • no ProDG, proprietary Sony SDK files, or private game assets committed to this repository
  • public-safe sample program or toolchain smoke test
  • local build transcript and compatibility notes captured as derived metadata

Steps

  • clone or update the public PS2SDK source repository listed in the artifact record
  • verify the local checkout commit against the ps2sdk-master-head snapshot record
  • use ps2dev public documentation to identify toolchain, library, and environment assumptions
  • build the open-source SDK components without using ProDG or proprietary Sony SDK material
  • compile a minimal public-safe sample when available
  • record build commands, diagnostics, produced libraries or tools, and compatibility boundaries as public metadata
  • promote repeatable commands into the PS2 ProDG / EB / Linux clean-room compatibility packet
