Public Notes

Planned reproduction recipe for building OpenPHIGS as a public PHIGS/OpenGL reimplementation while keeping license review visible.

Environment

  • clean checkout of the public OpenPHIGS repository at the recorded openphigs-main-head commit
  • C compiler and graphics dependencies selected from public repository documentation
  • license review retained as an explicit review step before any mirrored archival master
  • public PHIGS/OpenGL validation input or minimal procedural test
  • local build transcript and validation notes captured as derived metadata

Steps

  • clone or update the public OpenPHIGS source repository listed in the artifact record
  • verify the local checkout commit against the openphigs-main-head snapshot record
  • review SourceForge metadata, repository notes, and license files before mirroring or packaging any source archive
  • identify compiler, OpenGL backend, and PHIGS interface assumptions from public files
  • compile the public source reimplementation in a clean environment
  • run a minimal public-safe PHIGS/OpenGL smoke test when available
  • record build commands, license-review notes, diagnostics, outputs, and dependency gaps as public metadata
