Public Notes

Planned reproduction recipe for rebuilding the public Open Inventor source release and documenting compatibility assumptions from README.FIRST.

Environment

  • clean checkout of the public Open Inventor source release at the recorded open-inventor-master-head commit
  • host platform and compiler assumptions taken from the public README.FIRST release notes
  • public/open OpenGL scene-graph dependencies only
  • public-safe scene graph or example input
  • local build transcript and compatibility notes captured as derived metadata

Steps

  • clone or update the public Open Inventor source release listed in the artifact record
  • verify the local checkout commit against the open-inventor-master-head snapshot record
  • use README.FIRST to identify source tree layout, platform assumptions, and build constraints
  • prepare a clean compatibility environment for the documented source release
  • compile the Open Inventor libraries and public examples where available
  • run a minimal public-safe scene graph load or example smoke test when the build succeeds
  • record build commands, compatibility patches, diagnostics, outputs, and scene-graph test notes as public metadata
