The first time you run UniExtract2 (even with the \silent and \batch flags) it has a GUI pop up asking you to configure it. In addition, failures (e.g. file doesn't exist or extraction fails) also open a GUI pop up (even with the \silent and \batch flags). I expect the \silent flag to remove all GUIs, especially the first one asking for configuration, as it is an issue when scripting/automating the use of UniExtract2.
