According to https://wiki.hard-light.net/index.php/*.VP .vp files have a folder structure, identified by having a length of 0. Unfortunately, UniExtract2 seems to ignore this and instead dumps everything in the "root" of the chosen folder, with the "folders" instead being extracted as 0-length files with no extension. It also creates a few .dat files of some hexadecimal value and a length of 0. My guess is those are the ".." entries, which are supposed to denote the end of a directory.
